On Tuesday, February 28, the second day of the Fall / Winter 2023 Womenswear Paris Fashion Week, CFCL presented for the first time in a physical show format at Galerie Haute in the Palais de Tokyo. For the VOL.6 collection, the inorganic concrete venue was covered all over with a soft beige carpet, warmly welcoming guests into a cozy living room-like space equipped with a smart home system. Knitwear, historically a casual item, is updated seamlessly and elegantly with the latest technology that only computer programming can provide. Effortless and elegant looks come and go, blurring the boundaries between homeware and occasion wear.
Design created by computer programming is defined mainly by mathematical functions. As mathematical models, these functions reflect the universal laws of nature and have enabled humans to make many things. We can see the helix, for instance, in the shape of a conch or in the seed patterns of a flower. We see the Euler spiral applied in the curved sections of roads.
In its development of programming-aided knitwear, CFCL has referenced the mathematical models that lie behind civilization and nature. At the same time, CFCL pursues an aesthetic that transcends numerical explanation. Logical and functional as clothing, yet fully attuned to the elegance of contemporary lifestyles.
This is the new Knit-ware collection.
*All series have no cutting process during production, minimizing waste generation.
*On July 28th, 2022, CFCL became only the second apparel brand that has presented at Paris Fashion Week to be certified a B Corporation.
*All the products in this collection, with the exception of the 100% wool products and some accessories, are made of the Global Recycled Standard and Recycled Claim Standard certified recycled materials. As of VOL. 4 (Fall/Winter 2022), 76.54% of all mass-produced products are made from recycled & regenerated materials that have been certified by a third-party organization as responsible for the global environment and basic human rights. CFCL has set a goal to increase this usage rate to 100% by 2030.

ASICS Collaboration
All the shoes in our new collection are made in collaboration with the Hyogo-based ASICS. Launched through an initiative with Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, the project builds on ASICS’s cutting-edge technology. We designed it based on GEL-LYTE™ III CM 1.95, the world’s lowest carbon footprint sneaker as measured in terms of the life cycle of materials from procurement to manufacturing, transportation, use, and disposal. Through using materials with a low carbon footprint and technology that minimizes CO2 emissions, and rebuilding supply chains from the bottom up, ASICS was able to reduce greenhouse gas emissions down to the titular 1.95 kg-CO2e per pair of shoes over their life cycle––all without affecting the quality of experience when wearing the sneakers, as refined by ASICS ever since it was founded via its dedicated R&D efforts.
