On Tuesday, September 26th, the second day of the Spring/Summer 2024 Womenswear Paris Fashion Week, CFCL presented a show format presentation at Galerie Haute in the Palais de Tokyo. Entering the venue, guests were welcomed into a new world of sparkling aluminum floral artwork by Berlin-based artist Toshihiko Mitsuya and ambient live music by tabla player KYURI, who sat in the center of the special stage and played a fusion of analog and digital sounds. This season, inspired by the energy of the strong sunlight that pours down on the vast arid land and the latest technology that foresees the near future, we envisioned a future of human beings living powerfully and comfortably even in harsh environments.

New Land
Our increasingly digital society today resembles a desert. It is a world seemingly limitless and fantastical. Virtual spaces extend the boundaries of reality, making it harder and harder to distinguish where reality ends and illusion begins. Where is our oasis in this desert?
CFCL's seventh collection evokes the complex colors of nature, materials translucent to sunlight, and a radiant future that we have yet to see. We pursue Knit-ware as clothing that fuses a tangible reality with the new dreams we envision.
CASCADES
Portraying the image of a waterfall flowing on dry land, the stripes of white, black, and blue (gray, navy, and black), spread thickly and dynamically from top to bottom. Much like 3D printing, this tiered dress is created with programmed data without any sewing from shoulder width to hem circumference, which allows you to feel the wind with each step taken. Using a yarn that is a mix of organic cotton and recycled polyester, the CASCADES series creates a cool, voluminous feel and a comfortable dry touch, perfect for summer.

HYPHA & HYPHA LUCENT
Inspired by fungi, life forms that have existed on Earth since ancient times, this group is named HYPHA for its texture that consists of a striped structure that branches and spreads out like hyphae. The lenticular-like indented stripes, which have a different impression depending on the angle you view the details, are created by a dense knitting structure.
The pants of LOOK 16 have an ultra-densely knitted body made of recycled polyester yarn in four colors and the unsewn darts below the knee create a structured silhouette. The dress of LOOK 18 uses transparent nylon thread, as well as two colors of cupro polyester to give the garment a lightness and depth that can be felt against the skin. By creating partially programmed darts at the waist, a seamless fit-and-flare silhouette is created.

POTTERY ENCHANT
POTTERY is an iconic group that the brand has been presenting since the 1st collection. For this collection, mirror-film sequin pieces are hand sewn one by one onto our translucent dresses, by craftsman. The dress of LOOK 35 takes two hours to knit, and an hour and a half for finishing touches to complete the base. In addition, another 65 hours are spent to sew about 2,500 sequins onto the dress by hand. By combining computer programming and handwork, CFCL begins to explore new expressions in knitwear.

*All series have no cutting process during production, minimizing waste generation.
*With the exception of some accessories introduced in this collection, 78% of cloths are made from recycled materials that are GRS and RCS certified. Additionally, as of VOL.5 (Spring/Summer 2023), all mass-produced products use 76.72% recycled materials that have been certified by a third-party organization to be responsible for the global environment and basic human rights. The goal is to increase this usage rate to 100% by 2030.

999.9 Collaboration
All the sunglasses from this collection are made in collaboration with the Japanese eyewear brand 999.9 (Four Nines). The image of drawing a single fluid line overlaps with how CFCLʼs clothing is knitted from a single thread. The styles seek sophistication down to the smallest detail and eliminate the nose pad, differences in surface levels to the limit. 999.9 frames pursue the highest purity of quality, and their advanced technology are realized in Sabae, Japanʼs largest eyewear production area. These sunglasses are scheduled to go on sale from the spring of 2024.
